Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Perform daily reconciliations of general ledger accounts and operational systems
- Analyze financial data and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations and accounting schedules
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
- Prepare financial, management, and regulatory reports
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls
- Maintain documentation to support financial reporting and compliance activities
Process Improvement & Financial Analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency
- Participate in automation and digital transformation initiatives
- Perform financial analysis to support decision-making
- Assist in strengthening reporting accuracy and internal controls
Collaboration & Business Support
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams
- Support cross-functional financial projects and reporting initiatives
- Provide timely financial information and analysis to internal stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement across accounting and reporting functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional accounting certification is an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or Financial Control
- Experience in the financial services or corporate sector is preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting principles
- Familiarity with IFRS, IAS, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with financial reporting systems is an advantage
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish; Dutch and/or Papiamentu are an advantage
