As a Bank Teller, you will be a crucial part of the customer service team, responsible for providing exceptional service to all clients. You will handle various financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure the smooth operation of the teller line. Your role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their banking needs. Address inquiries and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Transaction Processing: Accurately process a variety of transactions including deposits, withdrawals, wire transfers, loan payments, and currency exchanges. Ensure all transactions comply with bank policies and procedures.
Cash Handling: Manage the cash drawer, including balancing at the end of the day. Ensure all cash and negotiable instruments are handled securely and accurately.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions. Prepare and verify daily reports and reconcile any discrepancies promptly.
Compliance: Adhere to all banking regulations and internal controls. Stay updated on policies regarding anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, and data privacy.
Cross-Selling: Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services. Assist customers in opening new accounts or accessing additional services.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient branch operations. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in finance or banking is a plus.
Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred. Experience in a banking environment is advantageous.
Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in using banking software and MS Office applications.
