Responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient performance of cargo operations while ensuring customer service standards and contractual services are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Effectively manages staff rostering, planned leave, manpower coverage and staff time to reduce dependence on
overtime.
Ensures applicable safety and quality standards are met.
Implement, maintain and closely supervise all safety and security measures related to people, equipment, facilities and transport involved in the operation.
Review key performance indicators (KPI's) and take necessary actions to meet needs.
Maintains as well as up-dates company’s and customer manuals and documentation.
Implements and monitors the local emergency plan.
Develops and maintains good relations with customers and authorities.
Find solutions to conflicts and irregularities.
Attends and contributes to internal meetings.
Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
MBO Degree
Minimum of 2 years leadership experience
A minimum of 5 years warehouse management experience
Ability to deal with conflict
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Customer focus and quality awareness
High standards in quality and service level agreements
