Compliance Officer Trust

As Compliance Officer you ensure that the organization is in compliance with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and by laws. As part of the compliance department, you ensure that the organization has internal controls that adequately measure and manage the risks it faces. In addition, the Compliance department provides an in-house service that effectively supports business areas in their duty to comply with relevant laws and regulations and internal procedures.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Perform risk assessments to understand risk levels, significance, and scope
  • Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Accumulate and analyze information concerning transactions to exclude suspicious transactions, which are qualified as unusual transaction that must be reported to the FIU
  • Communicate and inform colleagues on not only the regulations, but also the impact on the organization if these aren't complied with
  • Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues
  • Report back to Group Compliance Manager on identified risks
  • Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organization
  • Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests
  • Perform various general administrative duties (such as file creation and maintenance of ongoing administrative projects)
  • Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
Your Profile

You are a professional with:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the relevant AML/CFT laws and practices.
  • Good knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements and procedures.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information;
  • Analytical skills and judgement
  • The capability to understand financial information,
  • A service-minded approach and the confidence to provide services to high-profile clients;
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and sense of responsibility;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch. proficiency in Spanish gives you a strong advantage and proficiency in other languages is a plus;
  • The ability to prioritize work and to work well under pressure;
  • Critical thinker and able to work independently
 
Your Qualifications and Work Experience:
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in either Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field with at least 3 years’ experience within the field of Compliance.
  • Professional certification in any of the key subjects of compliance is a strong advantage.
