Department Manager

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Department Manager to lead the commercial performance, team development, inventory management, and customer experience within an assigned department. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational and analytical skills, capable of driving sales performance while maintaining high operational standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Commercial & Operational Management

  • Manage inventory and oversee department operations to achieve sales targets and business objectives
  • Review new product arrivals and determine product placement strategies
  • Implement merchandise rotation plans between the sales floor and stockroom
  • Monitor product availability and supervise replenishment activities
  • Manage visual merchandising and product presentation throughout the department
  • Analyze product performance, market trends, and competitor activities to improve results
  • Utilize business reports and retail KPIs to identify opportunities and implement sales improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with customer service standards and resolve customer concerns promptly
  • Monitor inventory losses and implement action plans to minimize shrinkage and waste
  • Collaborate with management teams to maintain a consistent store image and customer experience

People Management & Leadership

  • Organize and manage department employees to maximize team performance
  • Coordinate staffing needs to ensure operational efficiency
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development for team members
  • Identify talent and support career development opportunities within the team
  • Conduct performance feedback and recognition initiatives
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety regulations
  • Promote a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers
