Horeca Market Developer

We are seeking an energetic and commercially driven Horeca Market Developer to expand our presence within the hospitality sector, including hotels, restaurants, cafés and catering businesses. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic market, builds strong relationships and is passionate about growing brands in the FMCG industry. You will play an important role in identifying new opportunities, developing customer partnerships and enhancing product visibility and performance within the Horeca channel.

Main Responsibilities:

Market Growth & Sales Development

  • Identify, target, and secure new opportunities within the Horeca market.
  • Promote product categories by understanding the specific needs and buying behavior of Horeca clients.
  • Generate leads, negotiate agreements, and close deals to increase revenue and market share.

Account Management & Relationship Building

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key Horeca customers.
  • Conduct customer visits, provide product training, sampling, and promotional support.
  • Address inquiries and issues quickly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute sales plans aligned with market dynamics and business goals.
  • Monitor trends, competitors, pricing, and market opportunities.
  • Prepare tailored presentations, commercial proposals, and quotations.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work with marketing teams to create targeted Horeca promotions and materials.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure stock availability and reliable service.
  • Share market insights to support product development and pricing strategies.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline progress, and market activity.
  • Present updates on targets, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in sales and client development, preferably within FMCG.
  • Solid understanding of snacks, cereals, oils & fats, or personal care categories.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple accounts, projects, and priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate trends, pricing, and customer behavior.
  • Excellent command of English and Dutch; knowledge of Spanish or Papiamentu is an advantage.
