Manager Accounting

We are looking for an experienced and driven Manager Accounting with a strong banking background to take a leading role in financial reporting, accounting, controls, and regulatory compliance. Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accuracy and reliability of financial accounting and reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of consolidated and combined financial statements.
  • Ensure proper application of IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
  • Oversee investment accounting and investment-related controls.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate financial and prudential reporting to the relevant banking regulator.
  • Act as a key contact for auditors, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective internal accounting controls and financial procedures.
  • Implement changes resulting from new accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate tax filings and support the budgeting process.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting team.
  • Ensure accounting policies, procedures, manuals, and documentation remain current.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4–5+ years of relevant Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Current professional experience within the banking sector is required.
  • Experience in offshore or international banking is a strong advantage.
  • Strong practical knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience with investment accounting and/or investment controls.
  • Experience with banking regulatory reporting and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports.
  • Strong command of English; Dutch and/or Papiamentu is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial systems.
