Retail Sales Manager

We’re in search of a dynamic and experienced Retail Sales Manager  to lead a team and oversee the day-to-day operations of a tile and bathroom showroom. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, people and sales-driven and eagerness to develop their product and service knowledge of the company's portfolio. The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for coaching the sales-team, managing inventory, ensuring effective communication between the warehouse and front of house and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Store Manager duties include:
  • Provide strong leadership to the store team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide support to the sales team with large projects and assist by coaching and guiding team members in sales.
  • Train, coach and develop a knowledgeable and customer-focused sales team.
  • Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback to ensure individual and team goals are met.
  • Work with the team to create visually and innovative displays to showcase the variety of tile and bathroom products available.

  • Monitor and maintain the overall visual presentation of the store to ensure it aligns with the company’s image.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, product innovations and market competition.
  • Drives sales growth by implementing effective sales strategies and motivating the team to achieve targets.
  • Streamline and optimize store processes to enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained, creating a welcoming and informative environment for customers and store team members.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, concerns and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee inventory levels, planning and overseeing regular inventory checks.
  • Coordinate with upper management to maintain an up-to-date product/ inventory selection.
  • Keep open lines of communication with upper management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall operationa efficiency.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a retail setting, preferably in the tile or home improvement industry.
  • Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
  • Experience with inventory management and basic sales techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Secondary language French and/or Spanish preferred.
  • Must be able to work from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM - 5 PM and Saturday from 8 AM - 1 PM.
  • In possession of own transportation.
  • Must have a valid dutch side working permit.
