Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a position in Bonaire. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial administration, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and delivering reliable financial insights that support strategic management decisions. This opportunity is ideal for a highly detail-oriented and analytical professional who takes ownership of financial processes, works with precision, and actively contributes to improving financial systems and reporting while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and accountability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the complete financial administration.
  • Monitor general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations.
  • Process and verify invoices, bank transactions, and journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Prepare financial reports and support management with financial analysis.
  • Assist with annual financial statements and audit processes.
  • Ensure tax compliance and prepare tax filings when required.
  • Improve financial processes and internal controls.
  • Support and guide colleagues within the finance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, or similar.
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience with financial reporting and year-end closings.
  • Experience with accounting software and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial administration and compliance.
