Underwriting Officer

We are looking for an experienced Underwriting Officer who excels in risk assessment and decision-making. In this role, you will evaluate insurance and reinsurance applications, assess risks, and contribute to the development of sound, competitive underwriting solutions while ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess individual and group insurance risks and determine appropriate terms and premiums.
  • Review underwriting documentation and ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Draft and maintain accurate policy conditions and underwriting records.
  • Monitor risk portfolios and identify trends or potential risk issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on policy and premium processing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in underwriting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven risk assessment expertise.
  • Solid knowledge of underwriting regulations, insurance policies, and reinsurance principles.
